Symposium on “The Importance of Exercising Franchise in Democracy”

The Shimla Chapter of Public Relations Society of India observed the National Public Relations Day by organizing a symposium on The Importance of Exercising Franchise in Democracy on 20 April 2014.  Professor Kamal Manohar Sharma, Head of the Department of Political Science, Himachal Pradesh University was the keynote speaker at the vent. PriyankaOhri, a young social activist was another speaker while Professor Vepa Rao delivered the Presidential address. The event was open for discussion after the presentations which was attended by more than hundred PR professionals, students, social activists and journalists.

Award for Shimla Chapter Chairman

BD Sharma, Director, Information and Public relations, Himachal Pradesh, who is also the chairman of Shimla Chapter, Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), has been given the national award for Best Chairman for the year 2009 by the Public Relations Society of India.

The award was conferred on Sharma by W. Habibullah, Chief Information Commissioner, Government of India at the concluding function of 31st national conference of PRSI.

Shimla Chapter wins PRSI Best Chapter Award 

Shimla 9 December (Bharat Sandesh):Shimla Chapter of Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) has been conferred Best Chapter Award for its excellent performance for the year 2008 by the Public Relations Society of India. The Shimla Chapter has also been conferred Best Chapter Award for the year 2007 earlier. According to PRSI National President Dr. Ajit Pathak, the Award will be given during 30th All India PR Conference being held at Gowahati from 11 to 13 December, 2008.
